The Primer, the free snakes course and every tool on this site are free, and they are staying that way. What keeps them running is people who chip in when they can. Everything given here goes to LEARN, the nonprofit rescue that runs The Herpetology Collective.

LEARN rescues reptiles and amphibians, and The Herpetology Collective is how LEARN teaches. Rescue locally, educate globally: the same money does both.

Monthly support is the most useful kind, because it lets us plan. Pick a level, and change or cancel it anytime from your account page.

All-Access
$20 a month
Every paid course, including new ones as they open, for as long as your membership is active. Also supports the rescue.
Billed monthly through Stripe. Cancel or change levels anytime from your account page; cancelling keeps your level until the end of the month you paid for.
Buying a course, or joining All-Access? A course you buy is yours for as long as the course exists, including every future refinement. All-Access opens every paid course for as long as your membership is active. If you cancel, your progress is saved and your access pauses until you rejoin.
All-Access currently includes Certified Herpetological Guide, Certified Junior Herpetologist, Foundations of Herpetological Husbandry (opens October 20) and Starting and Running a Reptile & Amphibian Rescue (opens October 20). New paid courses are added as they open.

LEARN’s PayPal donation page takes any amount. Give once, or tick “Make this a monthly donation” there to give every month. You can pay with a PayPal account or a card.
Stopping a monthly PayPal gift. PayPal manages these gifts, so they are changed or stopped in your PayPal account, not on this site: sign in to PayPal, open Settings, then Payments, then Automatic payments, and choose Louisiana Exotic Animal Resource Network. PayPal’s own steps walk through it. Monthly levels chosen above are managed from your account page instead.

The fine print
Gifts are received by LEARN (the Louisiana Exotic Animal Resource Network), a Louisiana nonprofit. One-time gifts are receipted in your order confirmation email; monthly levels are billed and receipted by our payment processor, Stripe; gifts made through PayPal are receipted by PayPal. The All-Access membership is a purchase of course access rather than a donation, and so are individual course purchases.
