The Primer, the free snakes course and every tool on this site are free, and they are staying that way. What keeps them running is people who chip in when they can. Everything given here goes to LEARN, the nonprofit rescue that runs The Herpetology Collective.
One organization, two jobs
Where it goes
LEARN rescues reptiles and amphibians, and The Herpetology Collective is how LEARN teaches. Rescue locally, educate globally: the same money does both.

Young learnersThe Youth Scholarship Fund helps put young people through the Junior Herpetologist and Guide programs.

Pick an amount from $1 up. The quantity box lets you give any multiple of it, and checkout works the same way it does for a course.
Steady support
Give monthly
Monthly support is the most useful kind, because it lets us plan. Pick a level, and change or cancel it anytime from your account page.
Monthly support is on the way: a few simple levels, managed from your account page, and easy to cancel whenever you like. Until then, the PayPal option below takes monthly gifts of any amount. If you would like to hear when the levels are ready, sign up for email updates.

Prefer PayPal?
LEARN’s PayPal donation page takes any amount. Give once, or tick “Make this a monthly donation” there to give every month. You can pay with a PayPal account or a card.
Stopping a monthly PayPal gift. PayPal manages these gifts, so they are changed or stopped in your PayPal account, not on this site: sign in to PayPal, open Settings, then Payments, then Automatic payments, and choose Louisiana Exotic Animal Resource Network. PayPal’s own steps walk through it. Monthly levels chosen above are managed from your account page instead.

The fine print
Gifts are received by LEARN (the Louisiana Exotic Animal Resource Network), a Louisiana nonprofit. One-time gifts are receipted in your order confirmation email; monthly levels are billed and receipted by our payment processor, Stripe; gifts made through PayPal are receipted by PayPal. The All-Access membership is a purchase of course access rather than a donation, and so are individual course purchases.
