Unit VIII: Local Research: Familiarizing Yourself with Applicable Laws (2 hrs) — Self-led Field Assignment Research the local, regional, and national laws or regulations that apply to observing or interacting with reptiles and amphibians in your jurisdiction. Try to distinguish among: access and property rules; observation and photography; collection and possession; transport and relocation; and scientific or educational permits. The objective is not to memorize an entire wildlife code. It is to learn where to find the authoritative answer before acting.
